The Ancients Are At NoBe!

Blairstown, NJ - The Greek Gods have come to NoBe and are hoping to provide a great time to the hundreds of scouts that will be in the woods of No-Be-Bo-Sco.

Scouts and leaders will be treated to Olympic style events and games, meals in the Parthenon, and of course the antics of those Greek Gods.

2008 Camp Set Up Underway!

The 2008 Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco Staff have arrived at camp and are working hard to prepare for the summer that lies ahead. Tents and cots have popped up all around camp, and are ready and waiting for the campers! There have been some great improvements to the camp this winter, and there is a great staff to go along with those improvements.

On July 28, 2007, Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco will host its 80th anniversary celebration. No-Be’s 81 summers of continuous Boy Scout summer camping is the longest streak in all of New Jersey. Scouts to Maintain Appalachian Trail

Members of the Conservation Committee of Northern NJ Council, BSA were recently trained by the NY/NJ Trail Conference as trail maintainers. They have now been assigned the responsibility of maintaining about 3.8 miles of the Appalachian Trail immediately above Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco.

Archaeological Dig

On Saturday, December 9th, 2006, 13 members of the Battlefield Restoration and Archaeological Volunteer Organization (BRAVO) gave their time and expertise to investigate two areas of former settlements at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco. Based on their preliminary results, additional knowledge has been gained regarding the history of the Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco property prior to its purchase for the Boy Scouts.
